1. The Experienced Assessment is a quick, language-based assessment that analyses how you naturally express yourself to uncover how you work best – so you can find roles that are a better cultural fit. Find out more about the Experienced Assessment.
2. How does the Experienced Assessment work?
You’ll be asked to write a short story and answer a few open-ended questions that take about 15-20 minutes to answer. Your responses are then analysed using proven psycholinguistic methods (the science of how language reflects thinking and behaviour). There are no trick questions or personality labels – just useful insight into how you work best. Find out more.
3. Why is language used in the Experienced Assessment?
Language is one of the strongest indicators of how you think, communicate and collaborate. Research has shown that how people use everyday words – like “I”, “we”, “but” and “to” – can predict things like team compatibility, leadership style and even successful negotiation outcomes. It’s a powerful way to uncover real workplace preferences.
4. How will the results help me?
We’ll use the results to enhance your profile and help match you to companies where your personality and working style are a strong fit. This means better job satisfaction, more productive relationships with colleagues, and fewer mismatched roles that feel wrong after you’ve started.
5. Is the Experienced Assessment mandatory?
No – it’s completely optional. But if you want to improve your chances of being matched with roles where you’ll feel energised, valued and understood, we strongly recommend it.
6. Does the Experienced Assessment cost anything?
Yes. For a one-off fee of £29, you’ll receive both your personalised psychometric analysis and a professionally written CV based on your profile. You can use both with or without the Experienced platform to support future job applications.
7. What makes the Experienced Assessment different from other multiple-choice type assessments?
Unlike traditional assessments of this kind, which rely on self-reporting, the Experienced Assessment is based on your natural language – which is much harder to "game" and tends to reveal more accurate insights. It’s also more nuanced, looking at over 150 traits to build a rich picture of how you work.
8. Will the Experienced Assessment be shared with hiring businesses?
Only if you opt in to be considered for a match and we feel you’re a strong fit. In that case, your matching profile (including relevant personality fit data) will be shared with the business to help both of you decide if it’s a good cultural match. Your privacy is always respected.
9. Can I use the Experienced Assessment insights outside of Experienced?
Absolutely. The insights you receive will help you understand your strengths, communication style, and ideal work environment – valuable knowledge for interviews, career planning and other job opportunities, even outside of Experienced.
10. Will the Experienced Assessment improve my chances of getting hired?
Yes. Many hiring managers want more than just a skills match – they’re looking for someone who will thrive in their team and culture. By giving them a fuller picture of who you are, the assessment increases your chances of being shortlisted for the right roles.
